Alright... so I got my hair cut- it's alright... it's sometimes hard
to curl, but other than that it's fun.
Sister Jensen and I have been having a drought of letters. We haven't
gotten any mail in a week- not even junk mail. Which reminds me of a
scripture Sis. Benham shared with me- Alma 60:6.
We've been teaching this guy named Isaac- he's scheduled for baptism
this week. He's really cool.... but that's an interesting situation.
After we baptize him we'll probably have the Elders teach him his new
member lessons. Things have been going pretty well. I'm going to be
with Sister Jensen for another transfer, we're staying in Ponchatoula.
But Elder Jones, our DL and Elder Knight are leaving. Our new DL is
Elder Orton- he was a Zone Leader in New Orleans and is being released so
he can train. So we'll see how that is. The other week we taught this
guy Booker T at Sister Karen Rink's house. She's a recent convert of
about a year now and had many missionaries teach her. She was finally
baptized by Elder Geddes who was the assistant when I came in. We did a
"cups lesson" with Booker T and she said I did it just as good as Elder
Geddes, so that was a compliment.
On Monday, yesterday it was my turn to be senior companion. We had a
pretty good day. WE had 2 special lessons and taught 4 other lessons.
And then went and saw some members cause we weren't sure yet if we were
being transferred.
I'm trying to think of what else has been happening. Stake Conference
was this past weekend and it was good. We got a ride out there. I'm
trying to think but can't think of much else right now. We're the
number one baptizing mission in the South right now and possibly might
double the amount of baptisms we had last year. We have a few people that
we need to get ahold of and then teach a few more. There's a few people
who are ready to be baptized, we just have to commit them for baptism,
get them to church and teach them. But you can just tell they've been
prepared and are ready. So we didn't reach 15 this transfer, but we
are doing good. And we're seeing miracles along the way. Well, I think
that about covers this week.....
Love yall!!!!
Sister Jamie Lang!
