November 6, 2006

Alright.... so I got the package today- thank you for the pamphlet
thing for Christine.

And for the pictures... did Carly dress up? There were two pictures- I
think they were Marina and Marissa- they've grown a lot if that was
them.

So we were going to have a baptism this weekend but things fell
through. He might get baptized this week- we'll see.

So, we have a new district leader and a greenie- Elder Orton and Elder
Thompson. They're cool. Elder Orton reminds me of Elder Wygant and so
that's good- we'll be able to give him a hard time. And then Elder
Thompson.... he doesn't act like a greenie, but anyways, it should be lots
of fun.

Ummmm Mia has been having a rough time, but her testimony is still
strong. Satan just knows how to make life miserable for her. We've spent
a lot of time with her the past few days. Good news there, Quinn's
cousin, Angel loves us and wants to talk with us. So maybe something
there.... Ideally I want to baptize Quinn's whole family, but I don't know
that they're all ready yet. But someday..... Then there's this lady
Roxanne- she's awesome. She was in a car accident and should've
died.... so she's experienced a miracle. She wants us to come by so she can
remember the Lord in everything. We haven't formally taught her, but
she's heard part of a plan of salvation and watched a special on Joseph
Smith. She's really excited and invited a friend to listen with her.
So that'll be cool. Let's see.... Sister Alder, Sister Jensen's
trainer called us on Halloween. That was fun- she's getting married too.

I know there were other things and I'm trying to remember them.... Oh,
we went over to this member's house, BB for her b-day. It was us and
her kids- kinda sad.... but we ate pickled pigs lips and pigs feet.
There's a video that I'll be sending home soon. Her son Connie taped it
for us. He's a funny kid.

Dad asked a few questions, he wanted to know if we switched off being
senior.... the answer is no. Sister Jensen is the senior companion.
There are co-seniors in the mission and all of the sisters except one
are ready to be senior, not just co-senior but there aren't any sisters
to really be senior to. Sister Jensen has been out one more transfer
than me. So nine months. I am still the youngest sister out here. But
there's 2 that came out the transfer after me and we'll finally be
getting another sister next transfer. I don't know what else to say....
I'll try and think some more and then write some more....

Love yall!!!!

Sister Jamie Lang
