June 27, 2006 - #2

Alright time to get my Journal out so I can try and remember everything
that's been happening.  Oh and some of our investigators, sadly are not
answering our calls or are never home.  Miss CHeryl who was awesome is
staying out of town with her mom.  But her husband told her we had left
some notes and she gave us a call.

Ok now for the week.....

Lois.... Lois was a media referral for a Bible that said she hadn't
been contacted or received her item.  So we decided we'd stop by.  She
lives in an area that we're only allowed in before 12 so we went by in the
morning.  WE had gone by before and didn't feel too good, so this was
our second attempt to contact her.  Oh man!  She has a metal plate in
her head and she may snap at any moment.  She says she drinks heavy
liquor 24/7.  She came out and told us that she's killed 2 people- not
exactly self-defense.  They didn't "respect her" and so....  The police
don't mess with her.  Let's see....  She grew up with her mom telling her
she was the worst child ever and she wished she had killed her at birth,
tried killing Lois once as a child.....  She said she has 9 guns fully
loaded in her house.....  Luckily we had the Spirit with us this time
so we had faith that she wouldn't snap and we made sure we respected
her.... But get this- she had received her Bible and the Elders had
started teaching her! And no note or anything! Stupid Elders!  One of the
Elders tho she threatened to shoot cause he was afraid and wanted to leave
when she was talking to the other one....  Well, she says her daughter
is afraid of her, and I wonder why- she shot at her daughter cause she
had taken a step towards the door.  She says she's been packing since
13....  Anyways.....  she's praying for 2 people to come to her house so
she can kill them.....  then she told us how pretty we were and how
respectful and that we were welcome back anytime.  Then she showed us a
beehive- she just walked up to them and killed them with her hands..... 
crazy lady!  Well... I kinda took Grandpa's advice.... but I didn't
kill her.... But I did and do pray for her death- she can't repent for
anything here.  But maybe when she can't use the threat of "I'll kill you
if you don't respect me" in the Spirit World, maybe someone can teach
her there.... MAYBE.  I guess that all depends on her.....

So next story....  oh, so there were two guys sitting outside on this
one street.  One of them was like, "Make sure you drink lots of water-
it's hot outside."  And then, "You look peachy".....  Anyways.... so
they were trying to hit on us.... I walked up to them and gave them a pass
along card for a BoM.  I was like, they still need to hear the gospel-
if they call for it, we'll send the Elders over.  Well....  we got a
Media for someone on that same street- around the same age.....
hmmmm......  So Sister Benham makes fun of me for my "boyfriends".

Then we were trying to contact Jasmyn, so we parked outside her house
and started singing outside her house when she didn't answer....  that
was fun.  We made some friends with the ghetto kids.  They were like,
why were you singing?  I was like, well we like to.  And they were like-
cool.  Then we decided to call some people and sing to them or sing
messages....   fun stuff.

Then there was a day when I was Senior companion.  It went pretty
well....  It was interesting.  We went and did a Baptismal Commitment with
Birdie, who we have tried to commit several times before.  WEll this
time all she said was, sure I'll put it as a goal, but it's a big step.... 
So she's praying about coming to church.  Then we had a media on Wise
St. Possibly "my boyfriend's house"  as Sister Benham calls it.  But as
soon as we left the car the Spirit was like gone, so we left a note and
a way for him to contact us so he could meet us elsewhere and pick up
his BoM.  Then Paul came with us on exchanges!  And we went to go give
Zahkila a blessing.  She's pregnant and is a little over 100 lbs and 6
months.... and not gaining any weight.  So the Elders came by.... She
said she felt so good afterwards....  She jokingly said when we left that
the Elders should come back and sprinkly her car with the oil and bless
it so maybe it would work too.....  We love Zahkila tho!  She's
awesome!!!  And on Saturday her work changed her schedule so she had to work
on Sundays.....  she cried and got mad at them.   So Sunday morning she
called and said she had to wait on a sitter for her kids and had to
come in 2 hours later.... so she came to Sacrament!  Yay!  Alright....
there was more... but that's all I have time for!
