June 19, 2006 - #4

So this week.... let's see....  Well, a lot of running everywhere, we
have had lots of people not be home when we went to go stop by.  But
then there was also a day when we stopped by this one house- a lady had
ordered a Book of Mormon and has never been home whenever we stop by to
drop it off and teach her.  But she was home!!! WE've been trying for
like 2 months, and her number is disconnected....  Her name is Shonna,
and she used to have a friend stop by and talk with her and she's
awesome!  She didn't come to church on Sunday though and we were disappointed
and stopped by.  We found out that she had taken her mom to the
hospital- she had had a stroke, so we understood.  So hopefully next week! 
Then let's see.... Demerial... he works on Sundays so we asked him to
pray for a miracle so he could come to church on Sunday.  Well, guess
what- he got the miracle, but didn't come to church- we gave him a hard
time with that.  But we're still teaching him.  So that's good.  Then....
I got chased by a dog....  We went to go check up on someone and the
dog was asleep.  The lady came out to talk to us and the dog woke up. 
Yeah, I was within the radius of the dog chain.... so I ran away and he
was barking.... I asked if he would bite, but before I could get an
answer, his chain came free....  so I ran again.... She stepped on the
chain and I was safe again for a minute....  The dog had already stepped on
my foot twice, which made me think maybe he wouldn't bite, but I didn't
exactly want to chance it.....   The dog got out of the chain from
around his neck and this time I ran and jumped into the car......   Good
times!  I think that's about it for excitement.  Elise Jennings is a
recent convert- she went out on exchanges with us and that was fun.  She's
way cool and so is Paul.  If I was here as a matchmaker.......  jk.

So, how is everything back at home?  I got Cassie's letter the other
day and will hopefully be able to respond to everyone's letters today.... 
SO much to do.  And then I want to have time to play the piano
today.....  Well, so next week preparation day is on Tuesday, but I think we'll
still be e-mailing....  I think that's about it!
