Ok, so Mia Gros was baptized!!!!!  On Saturday!  She's really awesome! 
She's so excited and wants to know as much as she can about the church,
so she can "best represent the church that she's now a part of".  She's
also a great example to her family.  Her husband has been a member for
a few years now and the missionaries have been coming on and off for
several years now.  Her husband has been inactive tho, almost since right
after he joined.  They've had 2 really great home teachers that have
always been there for them.  And have always been there to give
blessings.  Mia had always refused the blessings- feeling unworthy.  But we
helped her see what Jesus Christ sees- that she is not unworthy. 

She also liked the fact that we didn't discredit the Bible.  There is
such a power in the Book of Mormon, and a lot of missionaries use it to
teach, which we need to do, but supposedly they would sometimes only
teach from the Book of Mormon, and a lot of the anti going around here
tells people that we dont use the Bible at all.  SO she really liked that
and the way we taught- she understood it more.  She's already excited
about missionary work and wants to serve a mission one day when her kids
are grown.  She has already had friends over and started teaching them
herself and then looked at us and said, "Take it away...."  She's so
excited about everything.  And when she had to leave church early the
other day she was really upset.  They had brought a friend and failed to
tell him it was 3 hours long.

For her baptism- everything seemed to go wrong.  It seems like for the
most golden people, everything does seem to go wrong, and everything
goes hectic.  This time there was a whole mix-up with the bishop and her
second interview.  She needed a second interview and we didn't have a
time til the evening of.  We told her that as far as we knew it would be
around 6:30 or 7:30....  but then 7 o'clock came and went and we still
didn't know exactly what was going on.  We were trying to get ahold of
the bishop before the Elder came to interview her.  So everything was a
mess.  When things finally got settled, we tried getting ahold of
Mia.... no answer....  Finally we got ahold of her... she had cried herself
to sleep, thinking that the reason the interview was being postponed
was because she was somehow unworthy of being baptized.....  and that
really upset her.  But things ended up working out great....  But her dad
didn't come to her baptism and that really upset her.  He's a member
and should know what it meant to her.  Supposedly he's never really been
there for her.  But he did come by after church yesterday and
congratulated her.  Said that he didn't get her message til 20 minutes before
her baptism started and was an hour away and still at work....  Anyways,
we love Mia! 

And now we're teaching her son Quinn, so we'll still get to see her!
